How did they all act around each other? What did they say they wouldn't tell anyone else, and what did they hid even from these closest confidants? How did they meet, come to trust each other, influence the whole lab's mood?

Binah & X: how do you act around someone who took everything from you but then destroyed himself enough that he doesn't remember it? Conversely, how do you act around someone who's at the same time antagonistic and passive when you know you don't have the whole context for her attitude? Depending on how the specific loop is going, this relationship could be very negative or tentatively attempting to mend whatever is left.

Binah & Hokma: the only two persons outside of Angela who remember everything from one loop to the next, stuck in the deepest part of the facility where the Manager doesn't always reach, and where there are no Abnormalities most of the time... They have every reason to lose their mind, and despite what happened before they became Sephirot I could see them clinging to their interactions to stay afloat, whether these interactions are positive or not.

Ayin/X: I'd love to see some selfcest between X and Ayin. Anything from fluffy SFW to filthy smut or deep character study and everything in-between welcome!

Angela & X: Angela resents Ayin, but X isn't exactly Ayin. How does she feel around that man who is and isn't her tormentor at the same time, and who might act distant and cold or be friendly depending on how the loop is going? And how does X understand Angela's attitude, with her reactions that don't always match what he's doing/saying because she's acting on things he doesn't remember?

Tenma & Valentin & Yujin: there's obvious trust and care in this trio, with Yujin confiding things you wouldn't say to someone who'd risk betraying you, and Tenma and Valentin making their worry about Yujin very clear. What did they go through to forge such a bond? How do they show care when the situation is less dire? Did they already have close calls and how did they react to the very real possibility of losing someone they care about?

Sweepers: they are family and they deserve more stories.

Esther & Yan: co-workers, but with some serious ambiguity about the level of secrets and knowledge they have. Outwardly, there's trust, but what are they really feeling? Is Esther even allowing himself to feel anything or did he genuinely gave up even that to better follow the Will of the Prescripts? How much emotion is Yan hiding behind his meek facade? The fact that Yan got almost killed by the Thumb and then rescued by the Proxies might have added yet another layer of mixed feelings; even if both Yan and Esther acted neutral about it, maybe some protectiveness or gratitude sneaked in.

Cecil & Mei & Lowell: they banter too much to be mere co-workers, they clearly trust each other and appreciate each other beyond their work skills. How did they get to that level of ease around each other? Are there office shenanigans when they're not on a battlefield? How do they function as a team on the battlefield?

Chun & Miris & Xiao: Chun and Miris just flat out followed Xiao in her personal quest for revenge after she resigned, that's some deep care here. How did that loyalty for Xiao came to be? With how professional Xiao acts most of the time, are Chun and Miris balancing her by providing a more emotional face to the trio when interacting with others? Are they training together? Are Chun and Miris pushing Xiao to slow down sometimes?

Miris & Xiao: as above but also Miris understands Xiao deeply enough to help her sort out her thoughts and feelings when she's on the verge of Distorting. This could be read as a deeper bond between these two compared to Chun.

Olivier & Roland: they worked together, they were friends, then Olivier had to watch Roland try his best to self-destroy, and now they're on opposite sides. That's a lot of moments and moods to explore, either separately or in contrast to each other.

Han Hee-Joon & Moses: from trust to betrayal. Definitely a complicated relationship with lots of baggage. How they worked together before parting ways would be just as interesting as how they now only cooperate through sour feelings because of Dias' influence.

Ezra & YuRia: from jealousy and puerile attempts at being "the" true second of Moses to genuine care. Petty arguments could be fun to read, and moments of bonding heartwarming (and/or angsty depending on the circumstances, I guess).

Moses & Vespa: enemies turned reluctant allies turned people who actually have each other's back, that's a fascinating evolution and any moment of this would be nice to see narrated!

Despite Vergilius' general attempt at staying distant, it's clear that he cares for Dante and feels closer to them than to the other Sinners. Dante is over being frightened by Vergilius' "big bad Fixer" act, and would like to know him better, worrying about the consequences of Vergilius helping them. Vergilius and Dante both have self-worth problems and a self-sacrificing tendency, though, so the relationship wouldn't necessarily be easy as they'd both try to "save" the other from themself. They're also both protective though so that might help. Any exploration of how they grow closer would be appreciated!

Dante &/ Jia Qiu: for Kong Qiu (yeah sorry canonical tag I'll use his name), Dante is probably that person who helped Hong Lu along, slowly bringing his true heart closer to the surface instead of trying to destroy him like everyone else in the past. Also someone who doesn't shy away from difficult battles. So I can see a large amount of respect and possibly surprise, fascination, curiosity. For Dante, Kong Qiu is this insanely powerful man who chose to fight to prevent a war without any obvious personal benefit, which is rare enough to be noticed. He's also supportive of the positive emotions and motivations of Hong Lu and Xichun, which makes him even more of an exception. I imagine Dante would like learning more about him and be quite appreciative of his character even before they have the opportunity to get close.

Jia Xichun & Wei: they've had each other's back for so long, each ready to sacrifice things for the other. They probably both have a heavy mix of gratitude and guilt about what the other did for them. Also they know each other well enough to read the real meaning behind words and actions. I could see a relationship that doesn't seem obvious to outside observers because of how deep it runs.

Xue Baochai/Xue Pan: when you grow up in a family that kills you repeatedly just because you're "too soft", you take your comfort where you can. It's also true for Baochai, because even if she didn't go through the same things as her brother, she saw it all happen and is under her own barely bearable pressure, so she knows that the rest of her family isn't safe for her either. They're probably not entirely aware of how some people would look down on incest, and/or consider it natural because only the closest person to you could understand you and provide kindness, right? Very co-dependent relationship in my mind.

Cassetti/Dulcinea: did Dulcinea choose her Prince? Or was he picked for her? Either way they're stuck together in the same prison of needing to appear perfect at all time. They're each the only one to really understand the weight on the other's shoulders, and also the only one they might not feel the need to put on a facade around all the time. And yet, at the same time, Dulcinea is Cassetti's Elder, which means a wild power imbalance. This is a relationship born of desperate attempts at clinging to sanity in a world that's crumbling around you, and making said relationship not toxic could either be a central fight as a way to pretend they're better than the Surrounding Mess, or totally ignored because why care about something so minor when you're already living in hell?

Curiambro/La Manchaland's Don Quixote: typical Bloodfiends power imbalance, but also I could see Curiambro being kind of "addicted" to Don Quixote's optimism. Curiambro himself is weighted down by all the negative things in the Family, and having regular reminders of why, ultimately, this will all be worth it might be something he needs to be able to keep going. Which would probably make him even more of an enabler for Don Quixote than just the difference in generation would do. Curiambro needs the dream, and Don Quixote loves seeing someone so enraptured by his vision. I doubt Don Quixote would realize all the implications, just basking in the adoration and enjoying doting on Curiambro in his own way.

They could bond over art, or over having to deal with Joshua's very specific band of bullshit. They could give each other understanding and a feeling of safety that'd allow them to relax. Whether they're openly aware of their respective status or not, they could support each other a lot.

Hanekoma Sanae & Kariya Koki: Kariya's been around for long enough to have the best chance of realizing Sanae is either CAT or involved in the Game (or both). I could see him try to get a better understanding of Sanae only to end up appreciating him. And Sanae probably has a fondness for someone who shares his love for Shibuya and is that clever and observant. They're both observing from the side way more than acting directly, and it's been a while for both with all the feeling of disconnection from others it can bring, so they'd probably relate to each other quite a lot.

Kariya Koki & Kitaniji Megumi: Kariya was probably already around before Megumi became Conductor, so maybe he'd be able to see him as more than just his role. Megumi is in dire need of a friend, and while Kariya has Uzuki, she's way younger and sometimes spending time with someone who understand all the insanity you've witnessed through the years is nice.

Hanekoma Sanae & Hanekoma Sanae: it's canon that the different universes versions can interact, and I want this man to have some self-love and support.

Lynne & Yomiel: Yomiel was not ready for that compassion and understanding. He'd probably be half-protective and half-guilty after that, while being quite confused at how Lynne could just... cut through all the hurt and offer kindness. As forr Lynne, she's not going to back up. That man is a victim too and she'll make sure he gets a fairer life starting now!

Missile & Sissel: partners in saving the day. Unstoppable, loyal, stubborn problem solvers. Also cuties. Friends through hardship and soft days!

Cabanela & Kamila: Cabanela is the eccentric uncle. He just has the Vibe. He's encouraging Kamila's creativity and craftiness and will somehow always get her the gifts her parents were hesitating about but not outright opposing. Kamila would try to build something that can surprise him and drink in the praise for every attempt.

Ah, my beloved original terrible doomed couple of sadness. I started getting nostalgic for these two once again, because they were one of the first anime I ever watched (blame AMVs and Sarah McLachlan's Possession for that one) and just how screwed-up their relationship was. For those not familiar, Takaya is just your average vaguely delinquent high school student who suddenly has to contend with spirits being summoned, people trying to murder him, and a handsome older man in a suit, Naoe, who calls him Kagetora and says he's a possessor who's been fighting the Underworld for centuries. But you know, it's fine, Naoe's protective and supportive and definitely not someone with an obsessive relationship with Kagetora that now finally might have the upper hand on his “master” who's currently a very confused teenager that's realizing all sorts of complicated feelings for him.

DNWs: Animal harm, extreme underage (16+ fine), scat/watersports, focus on unrequested pairings involving nominated characters (mentions of past canon relationships are fine), permanent nominated character death (transformations/resurrections are fine). Also, while I am vaguely familiar with the novels and OVA, I'd prefer the main anime canon to be the primary basis for this.

One of the reasons I love the anime is that it's very open ended so I'd love something that works off the ending where Naoe just sort of walks away while Takaya's wearing his jacket because that was just a killer ending image and also probably as hopeful as this series was going to get. And you know, as much as I adore the suffering and misery of these two, I also kind of would love for them to have something nice that doesn't end in tears – maybe Takaya getting a good day out with Naoe where both of them are able to enjoy themselves or some hurt/comfort where they're actually able to both take some time to breathe and rest up?

Canon divergence is also fun here and just in case you think I want just happy, uncomplicated things for them, I have this one nagging thought of what if Naoe ran into Takaya when he was just a kid and decides that hey, Genji had a good idea (maybe Takaya ran away from home because of some sort of underworld thing and Naoe's just like, well, finders, keepers). Meanwhile, Chiaki and Haruie are definitely judging Naoe for this, but then again, on the list of bad decisions he's made...

So I feel like giving so many warnings for this manhwa because it is not a happy one in the slightest. This is not a pretty manhwa – It is deeply fucked-up from start to finish and just when you can't think it can't get worse, oh, it does. It's the story of a young man, Kyunghee, who ends up selling himself to a wealthy much older man, Sihyun (who looks his age and is not drawn for romance), to help pay for college. But he gets sick of how possessive he is and decides to dump him and move on. Hmm, what's that? His mother has a new boyfriend who wants to meet Kyunghee? Oh, I'm sure that's going to go great. (It does not.) And then what follows is Sihyun basically breaking Kyunghee, an eager classmate/”friend” of Kyunghee determined to save him (two yanderes for the price of one), and just everything ending in misery and tragedy. It's such a twisted, bleak manhwa and I love it so much.

Prompts:

So yes, the ending is just depressing and horrible and I'd love more of it. Give me Sihyun knowing he can't ever get more than the broken shards of Kyunghee and being totally fine because at least they're all his. Give me Kyunghee hating Sihyun but still staying with him, letting him take care of him because it's the best way he knows to punish himself. Give me anything with the two of them trapped together, because it's the only path they have left.

What if Sihyun decided to play the long game with Kyunghee? Instead of dialing it up to 100 right off the bat, what if he was smarter about it and began removing all of Kyunghee's escape options before he made his move? Maybe Sihyun realizes that he can use Kim Junsik by manipulating him to make Kyunghee feel like he has no option but to turn to Sihyun. (Or you know, there's also convenient amnesia to just make things so much worse – what if Kyunghee was the one that was stabbed and he wakes up to a whole tangled web with no way to get out of it and no knowledge of how he got in?)

This is sort of the opposite of the other manhwa I requested, in that it starts out seemingly fucked-up before you realize that hey, this is actually kind of sweet and wholesome in a “well, things are still all on fire but at least your boyfriend's the one holding the flamethrower on your behalf.” It's about Song Gitae, a young man who wakes up to find himself in a windowless room missing a foot and a good chunk of memory. But hey, there's this adorable puppy of a guy named Cha Jihoon who just wants to take care of him and really, he had to cut off his foot, it's for his own good. And spoilers... it actually was. See it turns out that this dark captor manhwa is actually a zombie apocalypse manhwa, Jihoon has done all of this to keep Gitae safe, and Gitae's basically forgotten most of his past because it was deeply traumatic and horrible until Jihoon saved his life. It's actually weirdly cute once the truth is revealed and even though there's some trauma, it's nothing that bashing a few fuckers in the head can't solve.

Just more of the two of them in their weirdly cozy zombie apocalypse lifestyle. I was a sucker for Bill/Frank in The Last of Us for the same reason here: Jihoon leading a quiet , survival-oriented lifestyle until Gitae came into his life and now everything he does revolves around keeping him safe and happy. I know it's implied that pretty much the entire world has died off but them by the end, but hey, if you want any outsider perspective of the two of them, I'd love to see it. Or maybe something to do with Gitae having Pantene-worthy hair by the end (seriously, that boy is so damn pretty after the time skip and I'm a sucker for long hair).

This is also one of those canons that was built for “someone took you/presumably killed you and now I'm going to go on a rampage until I find you and bring you back home/get revenge,” so hey, I'd be down for that, or any kind of hurt/comfort, especially with Gitae on the hurt side because he is just a magnet for that sort of thing. Or maybe a divergence where Jihoon met Gitae sooner and saved him from at least some of all that trauma so he doesn't immediately start off thinking that he's been captured by some psychotic kidnapper with a foot fetish. (Seriously, that shot of Jihoon smiling with the saw is both adorable and so creepy.)

So please give me more of these two and their twisted, tangled connections: Guy trying to make up for lost time by ensuring his son never leaves his side and Henri, succumbing despite knowing that his father stands for everything he should be against.

Maybe Henri takes Helene's supposed betrayal at the end at face value and goes ahead and storms off with his father, leaving her and Procida behind. Naturally, the plan is ruined but you know Procida won't just stop, so Henri not only has to contend with a broken heart but also maybe an assassination attempt or two. Luckily, his loving father is right there to comfort and take care of him and remind him that he'll always have him for anything he desires. Anything.

What if Montfort, in accordance with his nature, had not taken no for an answer and ended up imprisoning Henri early on, only to find out later that he was his son? Not the best first meeting, but Montfort's fairly sure that given enough time and... persuasion, Henri will come around.
