The tagset is already mounting up! Please let me know about any problems you might find. There are still a lot of nominations in review. A few questions:

Blaseball: Parker MacMillan & Megan Ito (Blaseball: Pre-history I) -- Does the "pre-history" part of the disambiguation mean that Blaseball is an umbrella fandom and this is from installment/branch? If so, are you fine with it being under just Blaseball (with or without the "Pre-history" add-on), or would you prefer to have it separated out?

蒼穹のファフナー | Fafner: Just to verify, are Minashiro Soushi and Minashiro Soushi (II) separate characters?

Pokémon: There are nominations for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, Pokémon Sword & Shield, and Pokémon Main Video Game Series. Would Pokémon nominators weigh in on whether or not they would prefer grouping everything under the umbrella tag or have everything split down by subfranchise? Nominators who used the Pokémon Main Video Game Series tag, could your nominated relationships be put in one particular subfranchise (ie, Red/Blue/Yellow or Silver/Gold), or do they span multiple games? We're going with nominating all Pokémon relationships under Pokemon Main Video Game Series.

Hawkeye (Comics): I can approve this under Marvel (Comics) with "(Hawkeye Comics)" attached. Is that okay?

Goal Lines - Eden Finley: I'm only turning up a book called Goal Lines & First Times. Is that the full title of the canon, or is Goal Lines a different story?

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022): Do you mind if these nominations go under the umbrella fandom of Knives Out, or do you want them kept separate?

Emelan - Tamora Pierce: Roger of Conte/Thom of Trebond (Emelan)--This is currently approved under Tortall - Tamora Pierce. Do these characters also appear in the Emelan books, and if so, do you want them nominated here, or should they just be with the other Tortall noms?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV): Please renominate under "Buffyverse (TV)."

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Higashikata Josuke (JoJo: Diamond is Unbreakable)/Nijimura Okuyasu--Does JoJo: Diamond is Unbreakable need its own fandom, or can both these characters be listed just as JoJo's Bizarre Adventures?

The Punisher (TV): Please renominate these relationships under "The Defenders (TV)."

I couldn't figure out the series name as I've only read the four Song of the Lioness books that include these characters so I guessed it was Emelan (but they didn't seem to be on AO3 under that series name??) so I don't know the other Emelan/Tortall/??? books, which I haven't read. As far as I'm aware, those two characters are only in the Song of the Lioness books (#1 Alanna: The First Adventure, #2 The Woman Who Walks Like a Man, #3 In the Hand of the Goddess, #4 Lioness Rampant) because, uh, they both die in that series. :p

If someone who has, uh, read the other Tamora Pierce books in this world/series could weigh in with a clarification, I'd be really grateful. If Tortall is where they belong, I'm happy to request them under there. I apologize for the confusion!!

Question that's not listed, but I'm wondering the best way to do it. The two Quantum Leap shows are nominated as their own thing, despite sharing multiple characters and actors. This is fine, as they're each kind of doing their own thing.

But I was wondering what the best way to nominate a character who was primarily in the first show, and is mentioned frequently and appears briefly in flashbacks on the second show. I assumed that I'd just nominate him in with the second show in a relationship with one of the characters only in the second show. However, I see others have done something similar as a crossover in Crossover Fandoms.

Thanks for checking! Yes, since the two fandoms are separated in the tagset and mostly have different focuses, let's stick with treating relationships that straddle both shows as crossovers.

I’m not the nominator but in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure there are 2 Higashikata Josukes. One appears in Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable and one appears in Part 8 Jojolion. so it’s probably intended to disambiguate the character within the series JJBA as a whole.

Hi, I'm one of the nominators for Pokémon Sword & Shield, personally I don't mind if it goes under the Main Video Game Series tag. I think the separate tags help with organization and/or sorting, but ultimately, I don't think any big damage will be done if it's under the Main Video Game Series <3

Hi I have a weird issue that isn't hasn't come up here yet so I um thought I'd just ask—so for Spy x Family I tried to nominate Damian Desmond/Anya Forger because I didn't see it in the nominated tags (only Becky Blackbell/Damian Desmond/Anya Forger and Damian Desmond & Anya Forger are.)

When I hit submit the page hiccuped and so I refreshed and tried to submit them a second time when I did I saw that the pairing was rejected, did I mess that up?

Pokemon MVGS nomination here- in most exchanges I've done before, they've all been grouped into that category because they all take place in the same universe and have cameos across games, so ships can involve characters from multiple games.

I nominated Hawkeye (Comic) and normally that designation refers specifically to the Matt Fraction run, which is the one I wanted. Can we instead list it as Hawkeye (Matt Fraction comic)? The characterisations are not the same as other Hawkeye appearances in other Marvel comics. (And for clarity's sake, Tony Stark does appear in that run so he is eligible under that fandom.)

However, ultimately I'd rather have Hawkeye at all so I abide by your decision. Thank you!

I haven't nominated for the exchange yet, but chiming in as a frequent Pokémon nominator in exchanges: all of the main series video games are usually nominated under the Main Video Game Series umbrella. Like zappobrien said, it's a shared universe where characters from different games sometimes interact. For example, in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, some characters from Red and Blue or from Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 make cameo appearances. People will also sometimes ship characters from different games who have never interacted together for a variety of reasons. There's also the fact that some of the games are remakes of previous games, so for example a ship like Silver/Gold can exist both in the context of the original Pokémon Gold and Silver games or the remakes Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver, but most people will not care about the distinction. For simplicity's sake, I do think it's better to nominate all of the main series characters under the umbrella.

Under the Persona 5 tags, Persona 5 Protagonist/Kitagawa Yusuke and Kurusu Akira/Kitagawa Yusuke are the same pairing (Akira is the accepted name for the protag by the fandom).

Hello. I am not the Blaseball nominator, but I can confirm it is not an umbrella fandom. Pre-history I is a kind of in-world history record and Megan Ito only appears in that historical record. Parker MacMillan is long-lived enough that he was a contemporary of Megan Ito, but also appears in "present-day" non-historical Blaseball.

I had the blaseball Parker Macmillan & Megan Ito nominations-- Sorry about the confusion but it's just under blaseball!
The reason it has Pre-history tacked on is because it also does on the Parker Macmillan/Megan Ito ship tag, which I think the wranglers did to differentiate characters with similar names? It's all from the same source material, so the way you have it sorted now works perfectly. Sorry for the confusion, I wasn't thinking, and thank you for double checking!
