Meanwhile Zoro is developing a gigantic crush on him, and he's trying his own version of flirting back but it never seems to work out, like Sanji doesn't realize it but he's brutally rejecting him at every turn. Poor Zoro is getting his heart broken left and right!!
- Game of Gay Chicken goes too far, they end up having sex because neither of them will back down. Bonus points if the sex is (at least at first) a session of desperate dry-humping and/or mutual masturbation with a MESSY sloppy making out like truly they are being so fucking gross and moaning in each other's mouths. After they come they wish for death and both independetly decide it's never going to happen again...it happens again like three days later, goddamnit.
- Prince/Assassin AU. There's an artist on Tumblr who started drawing a comic for this concept and now I can't stop thinking about. It could be Zoro deciding to rescue child!Sanji after realizing how abused the boy is (maybe it's his own family that paid him to kill the young prince), or Sanji could be Zoro's age and desperate to leave that life behind, so he makes a pact with Zoro to fake his death and let Zoro keep all the money if only he helps him escape. Zoro trying to be all stoic, but he ends up falling for the man he's supposed to kill...yes, please. Bonus points if they're both heartbroken at the planned separation, but neither mentions anything about sticking together until it's almost too late.
- Older Zosan married couple meeting youn Sanji and Zoro who are still pretending they hate each other. They switch partners for whatever reason...I'd love to see young!Sanji being absolutely decimated by older!Zoro, and young!Zoro being a fumbling idiot with older!Sanji because he doesn't know how to act around the cook when he's the one being shamelessly flirted with.
Sanji/Robin
I will take literally anything for this ship. I adore both characters and while I don't think they are each other's soulmate or anything, I see the relationship they have in canon as a good base for some romance. Robin is the dark and silent type, but she's also capable of a lot of warmth towards her nakama; Sanji finds her beautiful and interesting and he would try to act more mature with her to match her vibes. Here's a few more specific prompts:
- Sanji and Robin talking late at night; they both share details from their terrible childhood over a glass of wine. They get physically closer throughout the night, in ends with them cuddling/kissing/hooking up--I imagine in this case Sanji would feel absolutely smitten with her, and Robin would let herself accept his affection because the mood is right and Sanji is being very sweet.
- Robin immediately being more receptive to Sanji's advances as soon as she joins the crew; he's used to Nami tolerating him and he starts tripping over himself to please Robin when he figures out she's actually enjoying his attention. Bonus points if she asks for specific food (maybe something she used to crave when she was a child but could never afford?) and the whole thing degenerates into her feeding his praise kink because of his cooking

I will try to explain my favourite threesome dynamic for these insane people: Misa is only in it for Light, but since L is much more receptive to her attention, she develops a crush on him and doesn't want to admit it; Light accepts Misa's presence because he has to keep up the charade of being into her, but he is meanwhile insanely jealous of L since it's obvious that L does, in fact, like Misa to some extent; L is attracted to both of them and eternally amused that they're playing tug-of-war with him in the middle while both Light and Misa pretend that he's the annoying part of the equation. If they are also having sex following these rules, L would end up being the focus because Light refuses to touch Misa, and Misa has to settle for actively having sex only with L, and L is willingly at the mercy of both of them.

L/Light

Yotsuba Arc setting; exploration of the most awkward parts of Light and L living chained to one another 24/7. AU where Light and L are still rivals without all the actual murder--maybe they work in the same company and are fighting for the same promotion, maybe they are professional chess players fighting to win the championship, maybe they are college student on the verge of being The Best One Here but neithe of them ever manages to surpass the other. I love the idea of L finding their feud fun but not that serious, meanwhile Light is losing his shit and doesn't understand that he cares so much about beating L only because he's gay obsessed with the other man.
Canon Divergence where L is more open about his attraction to Light, and this shifts their dynamic drastically. Light has never considered being with a man before but L is making it very difficult to keep things murderously platonic. Bonus points if L not suave and flirty, but still quite off-putting and on the verge of perverse (too bad that Light is into that shit)

L/Misa

Such an underrated couple, uh! I love the "weird nerd/popular goth girl" dynamic, I love the "manipulative and corrupt man/girl that sees the manipulation but still goes along with it) other side of that coin. I love the aesthetic of their two styles together, and that they make for a weird ass couple with lots of sexual chemistry!!
- My fave canon settign scenario is: Misa blatantly tries to seduce L to make Light jealous; she doesn't take into consideration that Light doesn't give a shit, and that L instead doesn't hide that he's into her and appreciates her advances. Bonus points if Misa keeps up the "you're so gross! I wish I was doing this with Light! He's my perfect boyfriend and you're just a weird pervert!" facade while actively being super affectionate with L, and exponentially so. Like she's sitting on his lap hand-feeding him bites of cake and she's ranting about how it's nasty that she can feel his erection. The erection she's sitting on with the very short skirt she picked herself. Bonus points if L is into the humiliation of it all and just lets himself be her plaything for a while.
- Alternative Universe, no Death Note, up-and-coming model/idol!Misa has to work with/hire/for some other reason interact often with detective/PI/hacker/other similar role!L, and despite their obvious difference they have a lot of chemistry!! She finds him funny and cute and he sees that this woman is a freak and he's immediately fascinated by her!!

What sparked the elopement aside from likely parental class snobbery on Mrs. Honeychurch's part at Lucy's so-called hypocrisy (was Lucy already pregnant)? Did they have to get married before the summer began? Wedding details and elopement details, please! Feel free to take them post-canon, as well - what sort of parents are they? Does George find a job he's as passionate about as his father is about the truth through journalism? Does Lucy join the Votes for Women movement? How do they weather World War I, the 1918 flu epidemic, the Depression, World War II? I just want them to be together, alive and happy.
Alternate universe takes welcomed. Feel free to pull details from the novel, or from the epilogue Forster wrote about the book with a couple of caveats - I absolutely don't believe George would somehow develop a passionate love for war and battle, OR that he'd cheat on Lucy the second he was a few miles away from her, thank you.

One of the fandoms of my heart. I love these gross weird vigilantes. I’m cool with any point on the timeline; anything from pre-Keene crime fighting antics to mid-GN to post-canon fix-it. I'm a big fan of Rorschach acting like a poorly socialized animal who wants affection but doesn't know how to get it like a regular person, and Dan seeming relatively well-adjusted in comparison but still being deeply strange (see: dressing up like an owl and fighting crime). For the OT3, I love when Laurie gets to be just as much of a weirdo as DanRor do (#feminism) rather than being Mom 2.0 ~taking care of her boyz uwu~. (That being said, I have no objection to Rorschach having mommy issues because that's textual canon.)
This fandom is my one exception to my general DNW for bigotry and internalized homophobia: bring it on for Rorschach! Please just don't make racism in particular a big part of the fic.

I rewatched this movie twice within about a month with two different friend groups who hadn’t seen it, and gosh, I forgot how wonderful it was. What a rich, luscious world. I’d love a fic that explores more about life at the bathhouse; maybe Chihiro’s initial trip to the spirit world is a little bit longer, or she makes her way back, either as a child or as an adult, and we get to see her with Haku or Lin. (I’m fine with either a romantic or platonic take on Chihiro and Haku’s relationship!) Maybe you want to look at Kamajii and Lin’s relationship, which seems to be her closest one aside from Chihiro (also a good opportunity to see more bathhouse life!). Or maybe Haku or Lin end up in the human world by some strange twist of fate, and Chihiro has to help them navigate this strange place they've found themselves in! I'm fine with any

I love the coziness of Cleo's life in her family's hotel, and her determination to live life on her own terms, while also acknowledging the limits placed on her by her social position and the time period. And Harry is startlingly perfect, as well as admirably and frustratingly proper.

Cleo and Harry have a very will-they/won't-they relationship, with lots of very good period-specific reasons they can't get together. Those reasons are all perfectly valid in the context of the books, but for this exchange, I'd love to see them move straight to "yes, they will and they do."

Maybe something happens to reconcile Cleo's aunt and uncle to the match. Maybe Harry and Cleo get carried away after a difficult or near-death experience and then have to deal with the consequences. ("Carried away" could mean multiple things in this context; feel free to interpret it as you wish.) Maybe they have to find a clever way to save Cleo's reputation after a case puts them in an awkward situation. Maybe they decide to elope, without worrying about family approval. Or how about a five-things fic, like five times Harry and Cleo kissed?

I also really enjoyed Eyal's tendency to take care of Annie, cooking for her and tending to her injuries and generally looking out for her safety, without ever questioning her competence or trying to stop her from doing her job.

After all the flirting and near-romantic moments, I'd enjoy seeing how they finally get together. Feel free to embrace the tropes here! Undercover as a couple and it turns real? A near-miss or faked death leads Annie to realize how she feels and admit it to Eyal? An inconvenient encounter with truth serum leads to a confession and reciprocation? They get stuck in a time loop and eventually fall in love and get married in one of the loops, only to have it end right after? They're held prisoner together, and afterwards realize they can't live without each other? Or run with something more specific to the show. Complicated one-night stands and ongoing relationships are both welcome.

Alternately, jump ahead a bit and show what their life together might look like if they did find a way to be together. Do they both quit and start their own security business? Do they sail off into the sunset on Eyal's boat (with visits back to Israel for Avi)? Do they try to find a way to have it all, work and relationship?

Note: There are a few geopolitical obstacles to their being together as long as they work for their respective agencies. Those can be addressed or ignored as you like. If you're going post-series, feel free to have Eyal's reconciliation with Ronit and Annie's relationship with Ryan McQuaid either not work out or never happen.

This is another show about two smart, highly competent people who develop an appreciation for the other's professional skills. I particularly like the fact that Giovanni isn't threatened by Sylvia's skills, though he's sometimes concerned for her safety. I'd love to a glimpse into how their relationship develops, or maybe learn a little more about who they are and how their pasts have shaped them: case fic, or a quiet evening together, or whispered secrets, or a weekend away, or one asks the other for help.

This show isn't particularly interested in gritty reality, or at least not more than selectively — see, for example, Sylvia's seemingly endless supply of money, many helpful contacts even though she no longer works for MI6, and her delightfully decrepit house, with romantically crumbling stone and no signs of mould. I'm perfectly fine with sticking with that tone, only bringing in the darkness you're interested in exploring in the story while blithely ignoring inconvenient realities. Although if you'd like to address one or more of these factors, you're free to do that as well.

For specific ideas, maybe a local disaster leaves them trapped together, possibly with one injured, trying to survive and get help, or maybe they're held captive together and have to escape or hold out until rescued. Maybe Giovanni asks some oblique questions about Sylvia's past as an MI6 agent. Maybe they discuss their marriages and how they failed, or Giovanni heads back to Bari to start his legal separation from his wife. Maybe the two of them take a trip to Bari together so Sylvia can see where he lived for twenty years. Maybe Sylvia meets Giovanni's cousin in Perugia and hears some interesting stories, or dinner with Matteo and Isabelle leads to some stories about Sylvia from Isabelle. Or just follow through on their date at the end of the third episode, how that dinner goes and where it leads.

For Layla/Marc, I love the weight of history that shows in their interactions in the show. They're clearly two people who've known each other for a considerable amount of time, who care deeply about one another, and who have enough trust to work together seamlessly when they have to - even when their personal trust has been badly battered, and there's a lot of pain between them. I'd love to see your take on how they got together, or one of their earlier adventures, or what an attempt at date night might look between them, or even their eventual breakdown before Marc vanishes. Or post-canon, I'd love to see how they might find their footing again - or rush past that in their relief at defeating Ammit and Harrow and Marc's presumed release from Khonshu's service. Or give me a look at their next problem, once they think they're ok again.
For Layla/Steven/Marc, my likes above still apply, but I love the change in dynamic Steven brings to the mix, and the fact that he's not shy about just steamrolling past Marc's attempts to keep everything on lockdown if he decides there's something Layla needs to know. He's whip-smart, and stubborn, and earnest, and his failed date in canon suggests he has a romantic streak that would be vastly entertaining to see the other two, more practical-minded as they are, try to deal with. I'd love to see them testing the waters of a relationship, feeling out how to meet each other's needs, trying to find their footing and navigate how to be in love when two of them are sharing a body. Or give me them planning their own adventures, or dealing with new dangers as a trio (or finding out there's a fourth person in there).

A note on my "destined ships" DNW above - I'm fine with references to mates and the mating bond, and to Elain's rejection of Lucien as a mate if it's relvant to the story. I just don't want it to be held up as the be-all, end-all of romance, or for the requested ship to wind up somehow being mates after all.
I enjoy the interplay between Elain and Azriel, his protectiveness of her and his willingness to trust her with his signature weapon, without pushing her to become a warrior herself. I also find them interesting parallels in some ways, both of them standing slightly apart from the people who love them, and both of them having the ability to glean knowledge they really shouldn't have access to - her abilities as a seer, and his as a shadowsinger. I'd love to see them building on those similarities and coming to understand each other in ways the people around them might not be able to, or see Azriel help Elain come into her own as part of the Court rather than being sheltered on the outskirts. An unexpected and accidental magical link they have to try and break would be delightful and appropriate for the setting.

For Alfira/The Dark Urge, if you're going with a resisting Dark Urge, I'd love to see their interactions after they knock her out and leave her, allowing her to survive the party. Do they fixate on her as someone they managed to spare from their own impulses (at the expense of that poor dragonborn...)? Do they try and fail to stay away out of fear of hurting her? Or, if they don't manage to spare her, are they haunted - quite literally - by their actions? When you're in a setting with necromancers and death gods, "loving a ghost" can be painfully literal.
Or, for a Dark Urge who doesn't resist, feel free to revel in the carnage - what better expression of affection than literally stealing someone's heart! And maybe a ghost who's bound to haunt you as their killer is the best lover, because they can never leave.
For Aylin/Isobel, I love how devoted they are to each other, even after Isobel's death and resurrection and Aylin's imprisonment. Aylin's brash and forthright nature, and Isobel's attempts to curb her, or at least soften things a little in polite(ish) company is delightful, and the idea of a priestess loving the immortal daughter of her patron is fascinating. I'd love to see a bit of their early courtship, how they fell in love and navigated the difficulties of duty and family. Or a bit more of their reunion than we get to see in game, or Isobel's attempts to get Aylin to slow down and heal and not be quite so much all the time. Before Isobel died, did they ever grapple with the fact that Aylin was immortal and Isobel was a half-elf? Did they consider ways to change that? After their reunion, would Aylin through all her considerable stubbornness at trying to change that? I'd also love an AU where they both fall, and are villainously just as in love as they are in canon.
For Karlach/Minthara, I love that they're both incredibly devoted to and protective of the people they care about, even though they come at it from different angles. They've both been warriors in harsh, duplicitous societies, and both had to deal with betrayal, but took very different lessons from it. I'd love to see how they fit together, where they might clash and where they might unexpectedly get along. Belligerent attraction that turns into feelings would be great, but there's definitely something to be said for plain old angry sex, too. Minthara trying to bring some of her ruthless practicality to temper Karlach's straightforward approach would be lovely. The two of them taking on the Hells - or searching for a cure - post-game would be great, as would Minthara dealing with her brand new Mindflayer girlfriend, however that might look (and however much the Realms might regret it).

- a historical, where both are regarded as somewhat oddball for different reasons which may or may not have anything to do with their spinstershood, widowhood, or newness in town -- or might!
- a fantasy, where perhaps there is something supernatural going on with that new widow... or vice versa... or both?!
- a tropey contemporary romance, where the outgoing femme who thought she'd never want to settle down meets the shy butch who thought she'd never love again!
When it comes to OW, I absolutely especially love details that really ground the reader in the characters' world, whether it's to do with the fauna and flora of the region, or the minutiae of their work, or the lacunae that mark the unquestioned assumptions of their culture -- so if you have any pet infodump subjects relevant to your idea and a desire to include them, I'm here for it. I love Sakura! My favorite fics are BAMF Sakura fics where she gets to be strong, capable, and still pink and pretty. I'm not a huge fan of how canon handled Sakura and Sasuke's relationship, but I'm not a Sasuke or a SasuSaku hater (obviously, since I'm requesting the ship).
If you did NOT match on SasuSaku, feel free to include him or not. I don't mind in-story or in-character bashing. The characters disliking or hating him is fine, and even expected and welcomed to an extent (especially if they are protective over Sakura or jealous or worried she still likes him).

- Graphic childbirth. Referencing is fine, but I'd prefer not to read however many words delving into the subject
- Authorial approval of cheating or casual dismissal of cheating (quick forgiveness of cheating, lighthearted jokes about cheating, etc)
- Cheating done by characters in main ship with a happy ending together (If the story is meant to be sad and/or toxic/dark and the cheating contributes to that, it's fine. This plays into the previous bullet point)
