The Tommyknockers isn't one of SK's more popular books, but it's one of my particular favorites and a book I've reread several times. I love how the escalating demand for energy is almost a sickness sweeping the town, and the way the alien species the townsfolk become is aggressive and impulsive and remarkably stupid despite their technological genius. The aliens feel quite human, honestly, and I love their design and the gruesome physical changes the people go through in the process of becoming them. The relationship between Bobbi and Jim fascinates me as well-- how the human side of her needs him and loves him, while the alien side intends to use him and exploit his addiction to further her own ends. And Jim knows it, and lets her use him even when he sees what she's becoming. Argh. So disturbing.
I'd be up for anything here! An exploration of the fucked-up and poisoned relationship between Bobbi and Jim would be great. Something fluffy would be fine, too, if you can figure out how to make that work-- maybe something AU? Or maybe an AU where Bobbi and Jim end up leaving Earth in the ship together and finish "becoming" together? I'd love some description/art of their transformation too!

I started to appreciate Wick much more after reading The Strange Bird, but I'd adore anything set pre- or during canon as well! Rachel and Wick co-parenting either Borne or a kid they adopt post-canon would be a delight, or something romantic or smutty or...really whatever you like! I'd love to more about the strange bird and the second strange bird as well-- a pre-canon flashback to the romance between their human selves/creators would be neat, as would a post-canon scene between the strange birds. AUs with any of these characters would be fab, including canon divergence/post-canon where Borne survives/recovers and is able to live happily with Rachel and Wick.

Forever one of my favorite films, I'd love anything set in this canon. I love the massive dissonance in Wikus's character to start with; his interest in the prawns and almost complete lack of empathy for them is a fascinating combo to me, and I love how he slowly switches sides there and goes back to help Chris. And he's so devoted to Tania and so disgustingly weaselly and capable of cruelty at the same time! I'd love anything with Wikus/Chris, Wikus/Tania, or the three of them if you can work that. Something dark and angsty and forbidden with Wikus/Tania post-canon (maybe he brings her another flower, or she finds him herself?), or an AU where Chris stays or Wikus goes with him would be lovely (angst, fluff, Wikus adjusting to his new instincts in his new body, idk man go wild). Juri is a lesbian, and none of these characters are heterosexual. I couldn’t care less how you classify their sexualities beyond that (for example, I’m perfectly fine with either lesbian or bisexual Utena).
With Miki/Touga or any ship involving Shiori, PLEASE make them messy, that is what I like the most about them. Especially Juri/Shiori!
I love Nanami even though I’m not into any ships involving her. I’m always here for anything where Nanami plays a big role in the story.
I also am fascinated by Miki and Kozue’s relationship (though I prefer it non-incestuous or ambiguous), and Utena’s friendship/something more? with Wakaba, so even though I didn’t request those specifically, I’m very into fics with those as background dynamics.

These women are outside the abusive confines of their fathers for the first time post-Marvel Phase 3, and I'm really excited to see how they flourish from here! We see in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special that the Guardians are in the process of turning Knowhere into their HQ. What is it like for Mantis and Nebula to create homes for themselves?

These two haven't interacted much in the canon (yet!), but there's so much potential here. Neither women are great at expressing themselves through words, but there's a lot of room for nonverbal communication, especially with Mantis's empathetic powers. Nebula doesn't always understand her own emotions, so Mantis's ability to read her emotions could be a really interesting foil for her. Mantis is a darker and more complex character than a lot of people give her credit for and I think Nebula is one of the few characters who wouldn't infantilize her. (Based on Mantis & Drax's banter, I bet Mantis would be delighted by Nebula's dark sense of humor as well.)

Honestly, there is not NEARLY enough work for this pairing, so I look forward to anything you create.

I love the dynamic between these two women and would love to see more of their friendship. While they were initially brought together by Bojack, they develop a meaningful relationship independent of him over the course of the series. By the finale, it's clear that their friendship will outlast Bojack's relationship with either of them. The two characters are very different - we see them butt heads quite often in the show - but there's obvious respect between them. I especially appreciate the moments when Princess Carolyn acts as a mentor figure to Diane, and Diane allows herself to be guided by PC.

Optional Prompts to Spark Ideas:

Post-Interview Reactions:Their differences are most clearly highlighted by how different their relationships with Bojack are. I would love to see something that compares their responses to Bojack's fate in season 6. Perhaps PC and Diane processing Bojack's coverup of Sarah Lynn's death together? Or them following Bojack's trial and sentencing together? How does each woman initially react? PC and Diane have very different instincts when it comes to protecting Bojack, so how does that come into play in each of their reactions? Do their differences in response impact their relationship? Do their own feelings about Bojack make it difficult to see other's perspectives?
Post-Canon Catch-Up: I'd love to see how they stay in each other's lives post-canon. Diane is in Texas at this point, so they likely don't stay as close as they were when they saw each other regularly. But Princess Carolyn is still Diane's agent, so maybe they stay in touch through that, keeping each other updated on their lives between business meetings? Perhaps the two commiserate over how uncomfortable it is being in healthy romantic relationships for once, or how strange it is being non-traditional mothers? Bonus points if you include Juda, Guy, Sonny, or Sadie (Ruthie's bio-mother).
More Tomfoolery, anyone? If you're into writing wacky hijinks that feel true to the show, would LOVE to see more of PC and Diane's professional shenanigans together while working at VIM. Perhaps a continuation of Sextina Aquafina's pregnancy cover-up? Or the two of them plotting to turn a beloved feminist classic into a feature film while not losing its integrity? Or - while this would not fit into the canon timeline - what about something where PC and Diane collaborate to help restore Gina's professional reputation after what we see in season 6?
Other: If none of these ideas spark joy, anything you want to write for this duo works great for me. You signed up to write these two for a reason, and I'm here for that reason.

I love the world of Bojack Horseman, so please feel free to include as many side characters and references to the canon as you want! And yes, I do consider punnery to be the highest form of humor.

What I love most about this show is how empathetically it portrays mental illness without excusing it. That's a difficult balance to achieve. I find Bojack deeply compelling as a character (and I relate to him very much), but please do not shy away from Bojack's flaws. His childhood trauma does not excuse his repeated victimization of the women around him.

My favorite part of the canon is the inseverable bond between Ban and Ginji. Whether as sexual/romantic or not, their relationship is foundational to the series. So I'd love anything that highlights their relationship, whether it's casefic or slice-of-life, or even a scene where they're trying to get out of another parking ticket.

If you're looking for more specifics, something I've always wanted to see more is the beginning of Ban and Ginji's partnership, after Ginji initially leaves the Infinity Fortress. What is it like for Ginji to slowly learn how to become himself? How does he eventually go from being Raito to Ginji? I'm only familiar with the anime (but am slowly reading through the manga), so I'd be very excited for any exploration of GetBackers universe that the anime doesn't get into. But that is some serious Optional Details Are Optional territory - this series is literally older than some exchange participants, so again, any new content at all would have me flailing with glee.

I tried so hard not to like them, but their dynamic in the Sports Tournament hits all of my favorite relationship dynamics: determined spunky girl refusing to back down! Gruff boy begrudgingly admiring her perseverance and resiliency! Adorable. And of course, canon speaks for itself when it comes to the mutual devotion, admiration and respect DekuOcha share. I love pragmatic Ochako looking out for the selfless Deku. Both Bakugo and Ochako help ground Deku - and get him out of his own head - in different but compatible ways, and would love to see that dynamic played out more.

Get-Together: My favorite fic genre is get-together fics. Tell me how the 3 of them end up in a throuple! Does Ochako get frustrated and just smash the boys' faces together? I initially started watching Dirk Gently for a good dosage of HoYay ft. pretty boy Elijah, so I honestly feel bamboozled by how hard I fell for Ken & Bart's relationship. I love everything about their season 1 dynamics. Bart not understanding why she keeps Ken alive, but recognizing that she does. Ken going from terrified to awe of Bart, to wanting to stay by her side! I didn't even know I had such a strong loyalty kink until these two. Bart's face at the end of season 1 when Ken says, "I'm not going anywhere"? Made my cold dead heart come back to life.

And then, the tragedy of season 2? Ken captured and imprisoned in solitary confinement, so desperately believing in Bart until he realized he had to save himself? Ken, who despite his personality, still had that kernel of darkness inside him all along? And Bart! Desperately looking for her friend all season, only to be reunited with a version of him that came back to her all wrong? The way that season ends, with both of know knowing that she has to kill himand that she won't? That she would defy the universe's orders for him still? kjasdhfkjadshf Season 2 was All Hurt, No Comfort.

So please, dear author, put some salve on my poor shipper wound and give me something hopeful for these two! I am equally happy with romantic (Ken/Bart) or platonic (Ken & Bart) - I just want something that affirms their bond and importance to each other.

Alanna & Neal: Nominated this relationship because I LOVE their bantering in the Protector of the Small series, and want to see more of this unconventional champion mentoring this unconventional knight. I love, love, love everything about their dynamic in the canon. If Tamora Pierce wrote an entire book that was just Alanna & Neal going on adventures, I would EAT THAT SHIT UP. Very few shows have ever written family as well as this show did. I’m always amazed by how strong their bonds are, even in the early episodes when things are rocky, and how despite their bickering and disagreements, they will still move mountains and burn down the world for each other. Also no show, as far as I have ever found, has nailed the “adult siblings escalating stupid ideas or fights in increasingly absurd ways” reality of the world like this show has.
Anything featuring the three of them that’s a little fun or funny—an absurd argument, or canon-typical ridiculous situation (like a party going off the rails, vacation blowing up etc). I don’t mind if things get heavy as long as they’re also resolved (stupid fights notwithstanding—if it ends on a punchline of one of the brother being petty, for instance, that’s hilarious).

For Fitz/The Fool & Nighteyes, I do actually like the canon ending for this ship, at least they are together finally and forever. So I’d love a post canon fic about the adventures of the Wolf of the West, or something more experimental perhaps, about how they function as three individuals who are one being?
