I have an entirely inappropriate crush on Sulla because of these books, and I shipped Sulla/Metrobius long before I discovered the existence of fanfic. I love that their relationship spans so many decades, and what starts as pure lust turns into something genuine. Metrobius is Sulla’s touchstone in many respects, his link to his former self, which is somehow far more open and truthful than his patrician persona.
Some prompts:
+ A Five Times fic through the ages, giving Metrobius’s POV from that first meeting with Sulla through to Sulla on his deathbed (*Underage sex is a DNW and in the canon, Metrobius is most definitely underage when they meet. Implied sex in the same vein as canon is fine but I’d prefer anything more graphic to take place when Metrobius is older).
+ Sulla thinks he knows everything about Rome’s underworld. Metrobius takes him out incognito one night and shows him what it’s really like.
+ I would love a fic set in the Roman theatre, either from the POV of Sulla watching Metrobius perform or from Metrobius’s perspective as an actor on stage. Plutarch calls Metrobius a ‘female impersonator’, so you could go with him playing the archetypal virtuous maiden, or, as McCullough does, have Metrobius transition from playing female roles to the lead male such as the Swaggering Soldier. The first time he steps on stage as a male character could make for a really interesting piece.

I've been reading these books since the 90s and it remains one of my go-to series whenever I need a pick-me-up. Claudia is just the most fantastic badass bitch – I love her street smarts, her sharp line in wit, and her vulnerability that she tries so hard to hide. Marcus is a good match for her (though he starts off as a bit of a knob, but hey, ancient Roman man) – hot, clever, patrician - and I wish the series hadn't ended on such a downer for them as a pair.
Some prompts:
+ Claudia and Marcus get together at last, either in a one-off night that doesn’t solve anything, or a fic set in the future when Claudia is an old woman reminiscing to a scandalised listener about how Marcus finally won her over.
+ Case fic! Someone kidnaps Claudia’s beloved cat and she enlists Marcus’s help to rescue Drusilla. Or Marcus witnesses something he shouldn’t and needs Claudia’s assistance. Or perhaps someone claims they know of Claudia’s seedy past and tries to blackmail her, and that someone has connections within Augustus’s government, so she needs Marcus’s patrician influence as well as her own wits to neutralise the threat.
+ Marcus’s patrician family are celebrating a festival or private event. Claudia turns up to supply the wine and an already-inebriated family member thinks she’s Marcus’s new girlfriend and insists on introducing her to everyone. Claudia decides to play along to wind Marcus up, but the event takes an unexpected turn.

I binge-read the whole series a few years ago and am currently re-reading it. I didn't nom a partner for Decius Caecilius as I'm genuinely happy to read a fic about him with any other major series character or on his own.

* Dee Ensy Stratmitos/Julie Sakuma Dmitriyevich: Julie and Dee don't interact much in canon, but I think there's some nice potential there. If Dee fell in love first, how would she go about confessing to Julie? Or you could go for something unrequited, where she keeps her feelings hidden. What if she confided in Ai about her feelings for Julie? Even if Julie did return her feelings, would he hold back, fearing taking advantage of her? Maybe the stress of being strong all the time gets to Julie and he finally breaks down in front of Dee, leading to some unexpected feelings? Or perhaps when he's injured or ill and Dee is caring for him, he realizes that she's in love with him? How would the fact their world is slowly ending affect any such romance?
* Julie Sakuma Dmitriyevich/Scar: Julie and Scar seem to be a subtle, understated relationship, so would their displays of affection be subtle as well, or would one of them start to be more openly affectionate? Julie has been in love before, but Scar is still new to human emotions, so how would that affect their relationship? Maybe Julie confesses feelings of self-loathing to Scar, or maybe Scar still struggles with being both human and gravekeeper? Would they ever think of getting married? There's also baby Celica - how would their bond deepen and mature as they care for her together? Maybe during their travels one of them of is hurt while protecting the other or Celica?

I love Royal Abbott, I just find him very compelling, and I'm hoping someone who sees this does too, or gives Outer Range a try and comes to see what I see in him too. I love how quiet he is except when he's pushed past his limits, I love not knowing what things are secrets he's keeping and what things are secrets even he doesn't know about himself, I love all the uncertainty and the vastness and the way he's just trying to be in the face of all that. I love that he is both the outsider and the core. I love the intensity of his interactions with everybody and everything and the way he seems to need to keep his own counsel because of how intense it all is. Or maybe it's because of how perplexing it all is. (And I love a character who's in charge but not, competent but lost.) I'd like to think there are both biographical and intrinsic reasons for him to be the way he is. I like him best out on the ranch by himself--or if at home or in the town still somehow by himself, even when he's trying to be part of people and sometimes even succeeding at it.

I think this is relevant for this moment in Royal and Cecilia's marriage, the way separately and together, they're trying to understand (or even just process) and respond to all the difficult, testing, and insane things that are happening to/around them. They're close but apart, a unit but individuals, intimate but full of secrets or simply moments and interior evolutions they have to face on their own. They try to connect and to continue to be there for each other, even while they've each got their own spheres and beliefs and trials, anguishes and despairs (and mysterious animal encounters). I'm also interested in Royal and that buffalo and mysterious encounters in general with nature, the land, and time.

I love how in the show, everything is simultaneously beautiful and bewildering, big and intimate, contained and out of control, and the whole thing is about the tension between throwing yourself to that and trying to make some kind of order. I liked how it told a complete story while leaving many things up in the air, and if you'd like to fill in details or continue the story or delve into what you think happened or just show Royal apart from the moment the show finds him in, I think there's a lot of richness to explore.

I'll admit it, I really want to see these characters together for aesthetic and fannish history reasons. I find both characters compelling in their own right, though. I'd love to see The Military's commanding statesman/conservative general and Tormada's confident, fearless, ruthless, lyrical, bomb-stroking scientist interact. I loved the confrontational chemistry, Tormada's certainty and The Military's turn to anger.

I think it'd be possible to engineer some kind of scenario, whether missing scene or AU, to bring them together some more (for whatever definition of together, shippy or not, porny or not, dark or not as dark, antagonistic or not exactly). Maybe encounters in the military context (whether before or during canon and Tormada's rogue conspiracy), or maybe a secret backstory, canon divergence in which The Military is the one involved in the coup, or even some sort of very canon-divergent survival happens (I could see an interesting prisoner scenario)?

I'm perfectly happy for lots of handwaving to happen to make this possible. I just want to indulge in the interaction, whatever direction you take with it!

Maybe Mamoru possesses 'The Healing Cock', and must make his way through all four Shitennou in order to bring them back to the light. (Helios can give him some Golden Crystal support too.)
I'd also enjoy seeing the Shitennou beg current Mamoru (and possibly Helios too) for forgiveness and redemption once they are healed in the present. Does Mamoru insist on having them reincarnated, either by his own crystal or with Usagi's help? How do the Senshi, both the inners and outers, react? Do they have a special relationship of their own with their princess?
What were their relations like during the Silver Millenium? Were they playmates and equals to the Crown Prince? Or maybe the four Shitennou were meant to teach and discipline young Endymion?
Regarding the relationships between the Shitennou: I'd be happy to see them caring for each other too, especially Zoicite - the spoiled younger sibling type - and Kunzite - the oldest who does the spoiling as well as the disciplining.
As for Endymion/Kunzite, I'd be happy to see anything set during Mamoru's lifetime in addition to the Silver Millennium. Go wild <3 Maybe Kunzite breaks free from his brainwashing when faced with Endymion's return, and nurses him back to health? Or, something with Kunzite's ghost following Mamoru around?

I will love you forever if you write me something for this series. By far and away my favorite character in it is Asmodeus, despite me hating his guts for the whole first book. He just hits too many of my tropes in further books. He's protective of his people. He seems to really respect and love Thuan. He chooses to murder the House because the House is not really the heart of their home. There so many hints of trauma in his past--and all of the Fallen have the trauma that *makes* them Fallen, a trauma I wish had been explored more.
I would love to see something with Asmodeus and Thuan moving forward. Do Thuan and Emmanuelle manage to make a better world and drag their spouses into it? Do Selene and Asmodeus eventually start to at least tolerate each other? Are they forced to work together to battle another threat to Paris?
Because my id loves seeing my favorites hurt, I will say again that I love Asmodeus. I would love to see him broken and bleeding and needing assistance, and Thuan being there for him. I would also love to see Thuan helping Asmodeus deal with all his past trauma. On the other hand, I would love to see Asmodeus actually managing to be helpful and kind with an injured Thuan or Ai Nhi... while also planning the vicious, brutal, and likely public murder of whoever hurt them.
Or something with Asmodeus and Berith figuring each other out, finding where their sibling relationship goes now (or sketching out more of how it went in the past!). They Fell together; was one of them more injured in the Fall? Did one handle matters better than the other? What did they go through that broke Asmodeus so cold while Berith just decided to peace on out of the whole situation? Or what happens later, when Berith is dying and Asmodeus can't fix it? He fixes everything; he's an incredible spell-worker; he invented ways to raise the dead. How does he handle it? How does Berith handle it? Has she forgiven what's come before? Do they fight about what's to come next? Do they have intense theological debates? Does someone try to hasten Berith's death to get to Asmodeus and he just loses it? Or wants to lose it but Thuan convinces him that actually helping his sister takes precedence?
I adore these characters and their messy, complicated relationships. If it feels halfway true to the book and puts them through misery and shows them stumbling together out the other side, you have earned my love.
For worldbuilding, anything comparing and contrasting the ways the Fallen deal with their Fall and what that means about their God would be fascinating. (In general I approve of punching gods who don't deserve their strength/status in the face, which seems to be what the Fallen's God would be, but feel free to come to your own conclusions or have the characters find theirs.) Also what does it mean to have God and many other gods in the same world? Do other gods try to take on God since He keeps shoving all these insanely powerful batshit traumatized children into the rest of the world to wreck shit when He doesn't want to deal with them anymore?

I love this show. I was so mad when it got cancelled and so happy when it got renewed for a final season, and I binge watched the first 10 episodes of that so fast. And although I understand why it happened, and I am happy they were together the whole time, my heart is broken for Michaela, and I just need more of her and Zeke.

In The Flash, I love the snarky banter of ColdFlash encounters, as well as ethical dilemmas about their CSI/thief relationship. And the snarky relationship that Cisco has with Hartley goes back to their old S.T.A.R. Labs rivalry, and continues throughout the series. Having said that, I love Team Flash as an ensemble; so feel free to include other characters if you want.
And of course, Snart belongs also to Legends. So for Mick and Len, the story could be based either in Central City or on the Waverider, dealing with past, present ... or future. (No way is Snart dead!) As for the rest of the crew, the friendship between Ray and Nate was always rewarding. However, Legends is an ensemble, as far as I'm concerned: the evershifting roster of old, new, and newest, all managing to barely work together at best, but succeeding in their weird and wonderful missions. So feel free to include any of the other characters.
