Heavenbreaker & Synali

We got Synali's perspective on the whole mind-merge process in canon, but I'd be interested in seeing Heavenbreaker's. Did she have any idea what was about to happen in the fight with Mirelle or did she think Synali was about to die the same way Astrix did? (For that matter, how does Heavenbreaker understand overloads in general?) Heavenbreaker was being kept online in maintenance mode; did she have any warning at all that she was about to get a rider, or what Synali was like, before starting the sync? From Heavenbreaker's perspective, what's happening when they're separated at the end of the book?

Hellrunner & Jozua | Hellrunner's Rider

Note on this one: I could go a lot of ways on how mentally developed Hellrunner is and whether its relationship with Jozua (or any of its riders) is basically antagonistic or cooperative. Feel free to do whatever sounds interesting to you.

What has Jozua been doing to make him the longest-lived of Hellrunner's riders? Clearly he's different from previous riders, but in a good way or a bad way from Hellrunner's perspective? How much has he actually taken the steed Hellrunner out, as opposed to just dealing with the alien in the core, and do either of them enjoy jousting? Presumably Jozua got some jousting training, since he's supposed to compete against Synali in the tournament and Hellrunner can't do all the heavy lifting for that, but how much and when? Have they ever had the sort of contact that Synali and Heavenbreaker have after Synali overloads, with full conversations or Hellrunner using a visible human avatar for communication?

Heavenbreaker & Hellrunner

The relationship the entire series is titled after. Was there anything special about the two robots themselves, separate from the aliens that moved into them for shelter? Were they meant to be a pair? Can Hellrunner in the core feel Heavenbreaker outside? How does Hellrunner remember their time together? How did they function as part of a hive mind cut off from the rest? Was there a "dominant" one of the pair or does it not work that way when there's only two of them? If the plan to have them joust against each other actually happens, how's that going to go? Given that Heavenbreaker's basically mind-merged with Synali and it's unclear how Hellrunner even functions as a steed but it's notoriously wrong, is it even going to work or is one of them (or both) going to refuse to launch?

Jozua | Hellrunner's Rider & Leyda Esther de Ressinimus

In some ways these two actually interact like relatively normal half-siblings, but the context where they're doing that makes it incredibly weird. How and what is he teaching her about riding, given what we know about Hellrunner? What in the world do the episodes Leyda mentions where she talks to her mom through Hellrunner actually look like, and how is Jozua facilitating that? What do they normally do with their days? How old were they when they met, and how did it go? Does Leyda call him "J" all the time, or only when talking to/in front of other people? Basically I'm just deeply curious about them and how they manage to seem superficially normal despite the fathomless well of weird around them.

(Note on this one - I know Skye's death is likely to come up in anything set after it, and mentions are fine, but I don't want something that focuses on it.)

I was absolutely sold on this pairing the minute I got to David's description of how he and Innes met and got together - everything about "she was trying to prove she was the best potential heir and kept getting horribly injured in the process so I had to heal her" is perfect. Also, "one time she had to sleep in my bed so I could make sure she didn't stop breathing overnight" is probably the weirdest forced-bed-sharing premise I've ever seen but it's really good. Other than that, they clearly have an incredible amount of trust in each other - kind of necessary but also kind of amazing given that they're living in a political environment where it's apparently not too inappropriate to wear a murdered enemy's body parts as jewelry at a formal dinner. (They look very nice, but everyone knows what the Aethyn-blood gems are.) How much adjustment did it take for David to be able to deal with that?

If you're interested in writing smut, that would be great. I definitely view Innes as in charge in bed, and if you're interested in writing about how ropes in this setting could be used for bondage or other enchanted objects being used for BDSM purposes, I'd love it.

Obviously I've read Dawn of the Future and this request is meant to go along with it. You don't need to incorporate its take on the eventual outcome, but I really liked Solara and her relationship with Luna. In the game, I liked the hints we got of Luna as an independent character - her determination and her willingness to stand up to the Astrals, but also the thing with her wedding dress, which I interpreted as a sort of fantasy about being a normal girl and getting to marry whoever she wants. I'd love something that involves the two of them managing to save the world together without needing to get the rest of the crew involved, or perhaps some sort of happy ending together after the fact. Or maybe an AU where Sol is recognized as the princess of Niflheim and meets Luna that way, and further developments range from "fluffy high society romance AU" to "plot of the game".

I have no idea how these two would meet, but I feel like there's some fascinating compare/contrast in there. Both of them spiritually bonded with a legendary dragon that's destroying them (although they have very, very different takes on them), and both dealing with a lot of issues around what they believe/have been taught is their duty. If you set it post-Twinside, both feeling super guilty about that time they broke, let the dragon take over, and ended up wrecking a lot of stuff the human cared about. They also have very similar skill sets, both in the weapons and in that they seem to have been taught small-group or solo fighting because very few people can do what they can. I'd love something where they worked together, or talked, or one got dumped into the other's plot and had to participate. (Eorzea would probably have a very different take on Bahamut, too.)

For Ma Seong-jun and Son Ik-su, I'm intrigued by the weird power dynamic between them. Ma Seong-jun is basically holding Son Ik-su back with the strength of bravado but is terrified by him; Son Ik-su speaks scornfully of Ma Seong-jun but also says to watch him and puts a lot of faith in his abilities. And they spend a lot of time in each other's company. It's a dynamic wide open for manipulation, dub-con, blackmail, threats, violence, kidnapping, all kinds of bad stuff, and I'd love to see any of that. At the same time, I think Ma Seong-jun is catnip to people with daddy issues (see: Yoon-hee looking to him for protection, Chung Dam looking for approval--both things they lacked from their fathers) and Son Ik-su has a TON of daddy issues. If he could key into that and poke Son Ik-su just the right way without making him explode (or, idk, making him explode the right way) then he could probably have a pet gangster on a leash lols. But I'm not sure he would ever figure that out.
For art, I love the shaman get-up and makeup Ma Seong-jun wears. Alternatively, any art of Son Ik-su (sexily) menacing Ma Seong-jun would be great.

I've watched this movie twice in the past year, and it is quite good! My favorite character is predictably Lee Joong-gu (yes, I just love Park Sung-woong) and I'm pretty much up for shipping him with anyone. Feel free to include multiple of these, even, if you want to; I just want to see Lee Joong-gu involved in some shippy business.
As a side note: dub-con and non-con are fine for any of these ships, going in either direction. As is general toxic behavior! These are simply not nice people lol.
For Jung Chung/Lee Joong-gu: It's all about the rivalry! The love-hate and the banter and the almost hitting each other with a car! Also, these two don't trust each other and yet Lee Joong-gu still appears to feel really betrayed when he thinks Jung Chung would actually turn him in to the police.
For Lee Joong-gu/Lee Ja-sung: These two honestly don't interact much in canon. But I'm a strong believer in my fave/the main character ships and this is one of those. Joong-gu originally sees Ja-sung as just Jung Chung's underling, but by the end he's able to guess that Ja-sung is the one sending men to kill him and the one who will win the board election (he doesn't for a minute imagine it will be Jang Su-ki, for example) and even congratulates him from a distance.
For Lee Joong-gu/Kang Hyung-chul: I just think there was mad sexual tension here. The fuckign glares and smiles they throw at each other. The insults and banter. The implication that they've gone through this song and dance of Kang trying to get dirt on Joong-gu over and over again. The way Kang absolutely plays Joong-gu with those photographs. There's a lot going on.

Bertram/Parolles (All's Well Globe 2024)

This production actually made this truly tricky play work, and they did it by making two adjustments. One, they make Bertram/Parolles canon - in addition to the play's subtext and text, like Parolles calling Bertram 'sweetheart' twice, there's now also kissing! and dick jokes! and sexual bravado among soldiers! and mutual betrayal! and hurt feelings! and Parolles takes Bertram's hand in the end after Bertram very reluctantly accepts the reality of his marriage to Helena (just Helen in this production). And two, they make Parolles in many ways the heart of the story: he is still a braggart and a coward, but the staging and the actor give him so much depth and heart: there's his affair with Bertram predating Bertram's reluctant marriage, and then Parolles's hurt at said marriage and at being made to court Diana on Bertram's behalf, and at Bertram prioritizing being a bro among soldiers, and the Judas kiss in the final scene, and then Parolles being the one to speak the 'our revels now are ended'-style final lines. Plus the staging makes clear Bertram isn't just a snob about Helen, he's being forced into marriage against his will, but then it also leaves open whether Bertram pursues Diana because he's flighty and okay with breaking Parolles's heart, or because he thinks this is what's expected of him as a young nobleman away from home and at war. Plus, you know, Kit Young as Bertram and William Robinson as Parolles are very attractive together. ;-)
Some prompts:
-their pre-canon relationship: how did it start? Who made the first move? It's implied Parolles may be no stranger to sex with superiors which isn't really his choice - the joy of mutual desire and discovery.
-their post-canon relationship: Parolles works for the awful Lafew now (essentially as a spy, at that!), and Bertram is still married, about to be a father (both against his will), and their social relationship is still one of deep inequality. They've hurt each other, but Parolles indicates a willingness to reconcile, and Bertram doesn't push him away in the play's final moments. Can they find a way back to each other, around all the obstacles in their way?
-while fighting in Italy, Bertram is effectively running away from his marriage, with Parolles along for the ride. It's a kind of honeymoon for them, even as they have to keep up appearances before the other soldiers. Give me all the furtive sex and stolen moments in roadside taverns and soldiers' camps, all the euphoria over what they know is a brief (and dangerous, for both war- and homophobia-related reasons) interlude in their lives.
-I don't think Helen and Parolles will ever be buddy-buddy or like each other, but maybe they can find a way to coexist, either by recognizing they both adore Bertram and he may not deserve it, or in some (consensual or not) infidelity scenario.
-It's Shakespeare: give me all the blank verse, elaborate metaphors, and knob jokes you want. (Not a must, but I'll love it if you decide to go there.)

-an actual relationship, as full of Ani's attitude and the perils of both their work as it may be. Just don't let anyone force Ani to admit she may be happy, even if the guy is a broke-ass motherfucker. I'd also love a stages of a developing relationship fic, with or without working themselves up to fuck again.
-once they're actually screwing (again or on the regular), it annoys the shit out of Ani how well Igor can read her. She's used to controlling what happens, and not coming herself makes it easier to keep an emotional distance - how dare this asshole take her apart quietly and be all intimate about it, who does he think he is?!?
-with likely extreme ill grace, Anora agrees to marry Igor so he'll get a green card; they may or may not be in a relationship/situationship at this point. They rehearse the story of how they met for the green card interview. There would be a record of Ani's marriage to Ivan, so maybe a version of the truth would be better than something made up, if only they can settle on a mutually acceptable version.

A few concepts:

BJ/Trapper: I know exactly who to blame for me getting into this. You know who you are. I do enjoy myself a sprinkling of Trapper Complex (TM), but it is not an essential ingredient. Kyung Soon/Hawkeye: I really ended up rooting for these two. Does Kyung Soon somehow end up at camp with some of the other refugees around GFA? Does Hawkeye go looking for her before shipping back out? Maybe the episode ends differently.
