I always love anything with period details or that evokes the feeling of the period, both in court (the court culture was ridiculous and glorious all at once, I love it) and out of it. I also love all kinds of spirits and ghosts, especially tsukumogami, and any use of magic.
Optional prompts:
Any kind of spooky happenings and/or spooky locations, whether the spirits are the ones up to trouble or the real demons are the ones in human hearts. Hiromasa is the one to save the day - perhaps Seimei has managed to get himself incapacitated or in trouble despite all of his magical knowledge, or perhaps knowing music (or the latest court gossip) is the key to smoothing everything over. Or perhaps Hiromasa gets targeted by a rival of Seimei's and is in need in some help. Inheriting Lady Aone's spirit had unexpected side effects; maybe Hiromasa simply gets an expanded lifespan like hers (in which case, fic extending into the future at any point could be fun), or maybe it's something more interesting/scary than that. Something in Seimei's past (or Hiromasa's?) comes back to haunt them, perhaps literally. Foxes have different expectations of courting than Heian noble norms. In-universe writing could also be fun - later scholars trying to make sense of what they got up to, gossipy RPF about them from around the court (did you hear that Minamoto no Hiromasa saw Abe no Seimei without his hat?!), a diary that one of them keeps, paperwork that needs to get done after you save the capital from ruin....

Itsuki/Hanae: I liked that slow build of trust between them - would that continue until they fall in love, or would love come on more suddenly? With them being raised in such different ways, would they have different ideas about romance? How will they divide their time between worlds when they're older? The Mononokean designs their wedding. Mediating a client's romantic relationship makes them think more about their own. Magical effects from a client force them to spend a lot of time together/give them sex pollen/whatever your imagination provides.
Itsuki/The Executive: How might their dynamic change post-canon with Itsuki finishing growing up, Aoi back in some form, and Hanae mostly out of the picture for the moment? Without Hanae around, Itsuki ends up overworking himself, and the workaholic Executive spots it. Itsuki has nightmares and the Executive gets involved when it's clear he's exhausted. The Executive gets consulted with regards to a client originally from China. Concerned rumors started to spread that the Mononokean's new master is human, and what better way to prove that there's nothing to worry about than with rumors that the human-hating Executive is in a relationship with him?
Aoi&Itsuki: Anything about their past together - what was the incident that led to Aoi taking him on, and how did they become close afterward? Itsuki's parents are apparently alive and well, so did Aoi pretend to be a distant relative or kind neighbor or something to cover up for taking him to the Underworld all the time? How is their relationship different post-canon, and what does Aoi think of everything Itsuki did to bring them back? Pre-canon adventures with the two of them or bb!Itsuki learning the ropes of how to deal with clients.
Nara&Hanae: Did Nara have any idea that something was happening before Hanae tells her about Sakae? How did Hanae break the news to her? What's her reaction to this revelation, and how does she feel about Hanae being involved in this new world going forward? How does it make her look back on her time with Sakae? Were there hints Hanae could see youkai before he met Fuzzy or any strange parallels that she saw with Sakae's behavior? Maybe her floral knowledge is helpful for a client? Symbolic gardening together.
Hanae&Aoi: Hanae learns some pretty personal things about Aoi's life - so what is it like to finally meet Aoi after they've recovered? How do they get past any awkwardness? Do they ever have a proper conversation about Sakae and what happened to him? What does Aoi think about Hanae and his relationship with Itsuki? Do they see any parallels between him and Sakae, or more differences?
Hanae&Itsuki&Zenko: Would love to see more of them problem-solving together. Does older!Zenko find spooky happenings after enrolling in a Buddhist college? Yahiko go missing (of his own accord or otherwise). Spending time together when they're older and how their friendship is affected by how they're the only humans they know who can see youkai. What went on with Hanae and Zenko during those months Itsuki never showed at school? Hanae helps out with the temple gardening again and Itsuki gets roped into helping (if only to keep Yahiko busy).

I loved this game's beautiful alien world, the way it treats growing up and character development, the initially utopian-seeming society that isn't quite so while keeping an overall hopeful tone, and everything about the time loop and how others react to Sol's 'dreams', so anything that digs into any of those aspects more would be amazing.
I would prefer if you kept Sol's name to either 'Sol', one of the canon names or another that starts with Sol-, and while any gender of Sol is okay, if you want some direction, I would prefer either a female or genderqueer Sol for this ship.
Optional prompts:

This, it seems, is going to be the year/exchange of asking for the obscure but incredibly dear books of my childhood! Which is to say, Author, if you know or love any of these--cheers! I applaud your taste.
I loved the world of this book, and Jeorg and Kaeldra both individually and as a couple ("People ought to stare at you" was one of the impossibly romantic lines my preteen self swooned over). They--understandably-- don't get much buildup, but are an impressive example of enemies-to-lovers done so well; the tension between them as well as the reasons why they can't (and then can) be together is painfully clear. We also don't get much of Jeorg's perspective, and while the book's perspective requires him to be opaque, feel free to explore what he is thinking during canon, and what pulls him towards and against Kaeldra. Or: I'd love to see something about their happily-ever-after. The glimpses we see of them make it clear that they are able to blend their cultures and backgrounds, but how was that process? How does Kaeldra adjust from being always thought of as an unwanted outsider? Or, if you like AUs, I'd be fascinated by a canon-divergence AU for these two. Maybe Jeorg lets things slip earlier? Maybe Kaeldra chooses differently? Tell me about any and all of the what-ifs that strike you about this book!

This book was an utter best beloved, and one of the gateways into my abiding love of Greek mythology, and specifically the Trojan War cycle. I love Anaxandra's perspective, fresh and familiar all at once, and I love this book's original takes on such well-known mythological characters. I would adore to know what happens next--or, as a particular delight, what the rest of the Trojan war and the returns look like in this universe! (If you want to borrow characters or stories from Euripedes or Aeschylus and put them in this universe, that is absolutely fine, even if it doesn't feature all the requested characters). Anaxandra's point of view would be incredible, particularly given her unique position as knowing and understanding so many of these women. I also love the way the prose of this book is so wonderfully lived-in, the way Anaxandra's descriptions of the world around are intriguingly slantwise-- tell me worldbuilding about the myths, and how they differ in this universe! Is the truth as Anaxandra knows it already being twisted and altered, and if so, what is her reaction to it? Alternatively, tell me more about this version of Hector and Andromache (sweet in all of their appearances, but especially as kind but naive adolescents in this version), or Helen and Paris (a dark AU of their usual depictions)!
Fandom specific DNW: Future! Anaxandra/Euneus would be so lovely to see, but I would prefer no romantic interludes between them (more than the canon-typical crush, which is OK to incorporate) until she is of age.

My beloved eternal Yuletide fandom; I love the snarkiness, I love the characters and inclusion of obscure Arthuriana, and most of all I love the way it very much buys into the idealism of the mythos while savagely picking it apart. I really do adore almost all the characters, so feel free to have any cameo, or stick in any references to other Arthurian legends or stories the series doesn't cover. Naturally any canon-typical adventures would be lovely, but also, if you like shipfic: five times Terence and Eileen's marriage/relationship wasn't discovered and once it was? Or: a canon-divergence AU that's fascinated me has been Ganscotter's declaration that Terence would have been changed if he had been raised in knowledge of his true otherwordly/royal origins--so what if just that had happened anyway? How would Terence come to meet Gawain and Eileen in this universe, and what would his relationships with them look like?
If you have a soft spot for Gaheris and Lynet, as do I, tell me more about how get used to building a life together? Exactly how dramatic is Lynet's pregnancy and Luneta's birth and early childhood? Or cross them over with another Arthurian tale (Lynet and Gary ripping apart Geraint and Enid would be a thing of UTTER BEAUTY)!
Finally, if Lorie fascinates you: Lorie, on the other hand, is still a cipher to me. She has a few cameos, and is clearly Ragnelle, but whereas Dame Ragnelle in the ballad is enchanted, we never really find out what Lorie's deal was with the loathly lady thing. Moreover, she's rude and brash in her very first appearance but then settles down into Proper Lady mode; but which is her real self? (And is she secretly much snarkier than she appears?) I would love to read anything that delved into her and her motivations (or at least what she was doing behind the scenes in Avalon all those years.)

I've been intrigued by Lamb and River from the beginning. They start out with Lamb being fairly dismissive of River and River not necessarily feeling like he should listen to/respect Lamb and then get to a point where...Lamb still refers to River as useless, but is protective of him/covers for him and River starts to think a bit before doing things like running off to try to save the day without telling anyone.
One of my favorite things is that the only things we really know for sure about Lamb is that he's always been fiercely protective of his team and no one knows how much else is an act.
I enjoy everyone in this whole series, so please include anyone you'd like in addition to River and Lamb.
Some prompts, if you'd like them:
These could be River&Lamb and River/Lamb (except for the River being Lamb's son one--I do have incest ships but this isn't one of them--at least, not yet...)

Carter and Benton and their relationship made ER for me. I love how it evolved from "reluctant mentor and clumsy but smart and sweet student" and became a relationship where it became clear they had a bond for life and could pick up and be instantly close again even after years of not seeing one another. Benton finding out about Carter's surgery in the last season by accident and then not only observing in the OR but waiting with him until he woke up so someone would be there with him made me absolutely melt. Benton was there, just as he always had been there for Carter since they met, even when Carter's family wasn't. I love how the show demonstrated that he and Carter had become the kind of family that shows up for one another.
Also love how even when they were at that reluctant mentor and eager student stage, Benton developed a soft spot for Carter. Carter frustrated him, yes, but Benton also got out of his own comfort zone to comfort Carter, from taking him to Thanksgiving with him in the first season after Carter lost a patient to taking more time to reassure Carter he could be a surgeon when Carter needed that reassurance after having to step away from a procedure. That moment in "The Healers" when Carter comes to him with his concerns and Benton gives a brief assurance, but then senses Carter needs more and gets up and goes over to him to provide it is just amazing, especially since he thought Carter had the skill but not the temperament for surgery.
If we match on Carter&Benton, I would love:
--A moment Benton let Carter be there for him. Don't get me wrong: I love Carter whump and am prompting more of it, but would also really like to see the former mentor allowing the former mentee to support him (maybe reluctantly?)
--Would also love for Benton to see Carter being a kickass attending and handling a really complicated procedure and/or see Carter being a really good mentor (I like how the show demonstrated Carter's transformation into being a good teacher, as he went from trying to adopt a teaching persona that didn't fit him to developing his own style).
--An outside perspective on Carter and Benton would also be amazing. Susan Lewis's somewhat surprised look at Benton and Carter's hug in the series finale was fabulous (as was the hug--it was the first one that wasn't at least somewhat reluctant or given to provide comfort *and* it included Benton ruffling Carter's hair and doing a side of the head kiss thing even though it didn't really look like his lips connected. Whatever it was, it was amazing).
--Carter needing to do a complicated procedure on Benton. Loved that he got to do an appendectomy and that he also helped when Benton hurt his hand in the early seasons, but him getting to show of more skills Benton taught him, plus him providing some comfort (in whatever form Benton would accept) would be wonderful.
--More Carter whump is also always very welcome! Maybe a canon divergence where Benton helps save him after he codes in "What We Do"? Or maybe just saves him when he ends up coding for some other reason? Maybe Benton has to try to save him when they're away from the hospital? Or maybe Carter comes down with the flu and Benton takes care of him?
For Carter/Benton, I'd love:
--Their first kiss, first date, or first time. How and when did it happen? Does Benton try to use some of the moves Carter knows he uses on him, like taking him to the jazz club?
--Fake dating becomes real dating. Maybe a patient is convinced they're together and they go along with it?
--Thank God We're/You're/The Patient is alive sex. Maybe Benton and Carter survive a tense situation either at the hospital or not and it leads to sex, or one is grateful the other made it through something alive and they have sex, or they're grateful that a patient they didn't think was going to pull through does...and end up having sex
--What does their established relationship look like? What would their relationship at work and home look like, especially if they were both attendings in their different fields at County?
--For kink, would love Benton domming Carter. Is it something they're both into but Benton feels weird about given that Carter was his student? Does he worry with things like spanking that Carter's actually using it as punishment for workplace errors? Is Carter maybe doing that sometimes?

After reading A Rogue of One's Own, it struck me that Peregrin and Tristan both had experience with fighting against their father figures/the roles their father figures had set out for them and I wondered what would happen if they somehow recognized that in one another and saw below one another's surfaces.
I love that Peregrin is actually quite intelligent and successfully evaded the Scotland Yard in Bringing Down the Duke (and had fooled Sebastian into thinking he was just an irresponsible undergrad) and that Tristan could be both a rake and deeply romantic as well as being a decorated war hero critical of the war itself. How do these two find that out about one another? And what does Sebastian make of this relationship? I do also ship Peregrin/Sebastian and Peregrin/Sebastian/Tristan, if that's a route you'd like to go down (and also Annabelle/Sebastian)!

Koba's such a prickly fellow, and has a very traumatic past, but he is a bonobo after all and that side of him, the loving, passionate, affectionate side, needs awakening. How can Koba learn to trust again and not associate touch with pain? How can Caesar (and Cornelia should you choose to include her) show Koba that he is loved, and that he is not hideous because of his many scars? How can Koba's confidence in himself be restored and how can he learn to love? I'd love to see him lovingly submitting to his alpha(s) but still being pampered, cherished and loved. I can see Koba becoming so devoted to his handsome, virile young King and (should you choose the threesome) a powerful female like Cornelia who would be a loving, almost motherly, but commanding queen! And what if Koba could help raise little Blue Eyers (since teen Blue Eyes and Koba seem to have a mentor/protege relationship in canon) or what if impregnating Koba is possible due to all the experimentation he suffered at human hands? It would be a wonderful bonding experience for him and Caesar (and Cornelia) to raise a child together! If you include smut, my strong preference is for Koba to be the submissive/bottom.

Bad Ape/Maurice: I know this one might be a bit of a hard one for some to see, but please bear with me! They seem to have this amazing dynamic in War for the Planet of the Apes - they're both wise apes, even if Bad Ape does act nervous from time to time and Maurice has to tell him off to bring out the courage he really knows is there! They've both been mistreated by humans and survived, but neither of them has become embittered by it and still seem to have an optimistic outlook for the future. And both of them seem very compassionate in nature, to ape and human alike. I think they would make an amazing couple! How might they progress from friendship to romance? What other things might they have in common? Would they bond over raising little Nova, perhaps? Or might they adopt other youngsters to add to their family - apes and/or humans?

Katherine Howard/Anne of Cleves: Anna comes across as a take-no-nonsense badass, and Kat, well, she just seems the type to give sass and nonsense, in my view! <3 I would LOVE some kind of scenario where Kat is back in Anna's service or becomes her ward or protege or something, and these dynamics can be played with; perhaps, say, Kat gets sassy and Anna has to put her back in her place... with lots of love and comfort at the end of whatever punishment Anna dishes out, because Kat hides a lot of vulnerability and sweetness under her sassy exterior. Mother Orangutan & Baby Orangutan: I just love the sweet relationships between these ape mothers and babies. The mothers are so gentle and patient with their trusting, loving and playful offspring! Perhaps Mama could be teaching Baby how to do something, or showing him or her some natural wonder, or the two of them could be napping together or just enjoying some sweet cuddle time, or any kind of sweet interaction. They can be wild, sanctuary or zoo orangutans, I'd be happy with any of these, and I don't have any gender preference for the baby.

Flanged Male Orangutan & Sanctuary Worker: Many of us will have seen the cute babies on shows like Orangutan Jungle School, but sanctuary workers also work with and rescue adult orangutans, some who will be returned to the wild, and some who may not be releasable but can still be provided with as natural an environment as possible on sanctuary grounds. I would love to see a sanctuary worker helping out one of the giants of the jungle, a big flanged male orangutan. Does the sanctuary worker have to win the big guy's trust in a rescue attempt? Or are they perhaps old friends and the sanctuary worker is paying him a visit? Perhaps the sanctuary worker is accompanying the orangutan on the big guy's journey to be released into the wild? Kills-in-Shadow is probably my favorite character, and I love how devoted she is to the Fatebinder. Anything where she gets some love and appreciation would make me happy. If you want specific prompts, I would enjoy them hunting Disfavored together, or her and a Hunter-background Fatebinder weirding people out with PDA that seems bizarre and terrifying to anyone not used to Beastwomen, but honestly I would consider getting any story with this ship up on the Archive a win.

I'm kind of obsessed with that one mouse-over lore box about the "immersive survival course" and the four dead or mutilated kids that the game just drops on you out of nowhere and then never explains any further. What the fuck, that sounds horrifying! I want to hear more! Because of Eridian life spans and slower maturation, they're much older than Grace's Earth students were -- what's that like? Basically, go nuts with worldbuilding and the efforts of Grace and the Eridians to understand each other.

I'd love to learn more about the Yn planet and culture, especially the role of men and how layli-layli comes to have such a deep respect for Oloitokitok that she mourns him as she would a woman in a culture where women are far more honored, valued, and respected than men. The book suggests that Oloitokitok was intelligent and perhaps exceptional but lacked self-confidence (look at how it's suggested that Magaeve convinced him no one would listen to him about the exchange of gifts). How does he react when he comes to layli-layli's notice? And what was it about him that made the sprookjes give the gift to him rather than someone else? I've been picturing a fic that occurs on Y, but it could also happen on Flashfever before Oloitokitok's death, or maybe an AU where he doesn't die.

The two things I love most about this series are the vast amount of historical detail, and poor, emotionally wounded Matthew. I would love to read a romantic happy ending for him -- something where he comes to know and care about a woman and nothing goes wrong. She doesn't have to marry the king, she doesn't feel that she's too cold, she's not classist and above him in society, nothing; they just get to be happy together. She can be of any class, but I'd like her to be someone he admires for her intellect and character -- I think that's where his attractions generally arise from in canon, plus it's just important to my enjoyment to feel that the female partner is truly valued. If you have Tudor knowledge that you can work in, either big historical events or general lifeways, conditions of daily life, etc., that's great, but don't feel you need to do research. (I'm also an absolute sucker for fashion and textile history, but again, don't feel you need to research that if it's not a thing you're into.)

For Noah/Cole: What if there weren't any new Coed Killer murders and Noah didn't get called back and they did get that remaining 2 or 3 nights in Vegas? How would Noah handle James's questions and innuendos about how he spent the night? How would he feel texting with Katie and not telling her about this amazing new thing that's happening in his life? At what point do Noah and Cole gradually start to reveal details about their lives -- how do they find out that they both work for the FBI? (They could run into each other at a seminar or -- remember, this is an AU -- they could actually communicate (eventually)). How does Noah approach revealing that he has a daughter? Is Noah comfortable going out with Cole where it's possible he'll run into someone who knows him?
In the books, much of the relationship conflict comes from a place where their personalities interact badly. Noah is quite unconfident and can't believe that anyone would really want him, and this sometimes makes him hold off on reaching out to Cole. Cole is a very compassionate person who understands other people well and can make them feel at ease, but he doesn't talk easily about his own feelings and is apt to lash out if he feels threatened or rejected. How would those conflicts show up in this different setting?
Noah/Cole & Katie: In TMBU, Cole saves Noah and Katie. In TGBU, Noah saves Cole. I would love to read about Katie saving both her dads.

In all of her MM historicals, AGG pays attention to how the men of the era, both queer and not, conceptualized and described homosexual activity (and identity, if that was even a category at the time). In this book, we have the sharp contrast between Russell's 1865 worldview, where affection, love, and touch between men are fine but there is not gay identity as such and Caleb's 1965 worldview, where there's an emerging homosexual identity and societal homophobia has stamped out the easy affection Russell is accustomed to. I also really like the way anyone who encounters Russell while the curse is still active just looks at him and goes "yep, I guess you did just wake up from 100 years of sleep". And all the "gee whiz" and having to have the 20th century explained is fun.
I'd like to see Russell and Michael get to know each other and perhaps become friends. You could write this either post-canon, with Russell and Caleb needing to keep Russell's origin a secret, or an AU where people still believe him. Either way, I think it would be fascinating if Michael knows about Russell's origins and believes, even if no one else does. Michael loves queer books, he gave Caleb a copy of Leaves of Grass -- he would have to have a million questions about Russell's time.
I'd love to see what Russell makes of the gay community Caleb knows in Chicago. What would he think of Francis's cocktail parties? He's such a winning, outgoing guy that he'd probably have a blast, but he'd also be quite at a loss at first. Perhaps Michael becomes a second Virgil to him in this strange new world.

General prompt ideas:
I love most takes where Alina married Nikolai at the end of the trilogy, or expanding on the brief period where they were kind of de facto engaged. I enjoy post R&R set things a lot that can explore/at least reference Nikolai’s trauma from being turned into a monster for awhile.
I like the idea of the Darkling’s consciousness slowly resurfacing within Nikolai. Or maybe just him having darker more violent moments where the monster side of him takes over. (In the Nikolina dynamic, I usually prefer him being super down bad and she’s oblivious and/or thinks herself uninvested when she’s really not! I love the pining potential but do as you like!)
I also love any variation of the Darkling Causes Problems On Purpose, maybe Alina *does* go with him at the end of S&S, maybe he kidnaps her at another time, maybe he kidnaps them both. Maybe one tries to save the other and is also captured and he gets really weird about it!
I love it most when he’s unabashedly cartoon villain monologuing, burning down orphanages and making unnecessary double entendres at the worst moments (what if they got up to… more… aboard the ship in S&S 👀) but I also really like AUs where perhaps he finds a modicum of restraint and doesn’t go entirely insane so quickly and Alina stays after the fete. Or maybe he captures her pre stag and convinces her that Baghra was lying. Regardless, situations where their really creepy mentor/protégée dynamic continues in some fashion are very fun to me. But like emphasis on creepy and that he has terrible plans in the future.
If you have any particular ideas go for it! Don’t be afraid to get dark, if that interests you!
General smut likes are dubcon, unegotiated BDSM or bondage, angst, porn with plot or mild acknowledgement of plot, breathplay, knifeplay, edging, overstimulation, pain play, making more overt the bondagey vibes to the amplifiers or even the KoS imagery of Nikolai having to be chained to the bed, and maybe making creative use of the canon tether or Nikolai turning into a monster

I was convinced from the moment I saw the S1 finale and immediately went Nancy has two hands. So I was looking in the crossover section of the tagset and came across this, and whoever requested Nie Huaisang & Wang Zhi is *so* big brained omg. I actually just finished watching The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty with my family, and Wang Zhi was hands down my favorite character! And the dynamic between him and Nie Huaisang sounds incredible... I'm not sure how you want to put them in the same place, but maybe the world of TSOMD is the non-cultivating empire in MDZS? Maybe something post-canon for TSOMD when Wang Zhi is now a military leader? And there are so many different possibilities too based on where in Nie Huaisang's storyline you want to set it! Are they trying to go after the same thing? Do they join forces? Do they have different, potentially interfering schemes going on? How much of each other's BS can they see through?

This crossover came to me during Crossworks and I thought it was a lot of fun, so I've brought it back here! Basically the idea is that Hogan's Heroes and Macgyver both take place on the same earth/timeline, so they can be crossed over post canon for Hogan's Heroes and pre or during canon for Macgyver (Hogan would be 80 in 1985 so I feel like it's very possible to set a fic during the early seasons of Macgyver.)
I just feel like the "we're gonna pull something wild out of our ass and do what needs to be done" energy is similar for the two shows, even if the tone is different. You could do something really interesting with it! Maybe a young Macgyver learns some things about improvised explosives from a chemistry teacher named Andrew Carter?
I requested the three American main characters and would be happy for Macgyver to interact with whichever (or multiple) you're inspired to write. I didn't request Baker just because I'm not as familiar with his era, but I'm not against him showing up as long as one of my requested relationships is also featured! (Same goes for the other heroes.)
I'd really enjoy like a classic "introduce problem, come up with something to fix it" kind of set up for this crossover, but tbh I'd also love something that just has them interacting casually so don't feel like you have to plot too much. I'd prefer the whole thing not be angst for this request specifically, but some angst is fine! Or a bittersweet tone, like reminiscing about good times at a funeral as a set up. (Which means, yes, I do give you permission to kill off a Hogan's Heroes character if you want to.)

So I've been watching the donghua as season 2 airs, and it's reminded me of how much I'm interested in these two! Obviously I nominated this relationship with the book in mind, but if you want to throw in any donghua aesthetics/flair, I won't be mad!
I'm open to a lot of different things for this one! I'm fascinated with Guoshi Fangxin, so something set during that era would be cool! But I'd also really enjoy something with the two figuring each other out post-canon. Or a canon divergence of some kind! I love canon divergence, and TGCF has so many interesting opportunities for it! For example: What if Xie Lian didn't arrive at the banquet when he did?
